My Telecaster

Another one from the "always wanted" list. It's a maple-necked telecaster. It's an anniversary reissue of a 1972 model with numbers on the dials.

My old pal Steve "the Chordmaster" Shaw from Foolish Behaviour "The  Best Blues Band in Winchester" owns a beautiful ruby red tele with a Gram Parsons B string bender and maple neck. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. It was a present from his wife for a special birthday, so I guess he'll never let it go. Anyway he suffers with GAS too (a guitarist's in-joke!). Sorry Steve.

My tele is made in Mexico raher than the expensive USA version but you wouldn't know it. Great value, low smooth action with a lovely finish to the neck.

It has that reassuring tele solid slab of wood feel. Resonates nicely and I enjoy the feel of playing it even when it's not plugged in. I'm a lucky boy. Strap it on and strum "Born to Run" and there I am on stage with Bruce - and I don't mean Forsyth.        In my dreams.
